Twas the night before Christmas, And all through the city, Canucks fans were excited, And all in a tizzy. When, what to our wondering Eyes should appear, But a guy in a Zamboni, Painted with pictures of deer. With a little old driver, So lively and quick, It looked like Don Cherry, But was really St. Nick. More rapid than eagles His coursers they came, Seems Santa's a Nucks fan, He sure knows their names. "Now, NASLUND! Now, JOVO! Now, OHLUND And LINDEN! On, CLOUTIER! On, 'TUZZI! On, HEDBERG And LINDGREN! To the top of the standings, To the top of the your game, You'll beat out the Avs, The Blues and the Flames. As dry leaves before The wild hurricane lead, He then shouted God Jul! For the team's 7 Swedes. On over to the Canucks bench, Santa looked with great fear, Sope's hair is kinda scary, Hasn't cut it in years. And then in a twinkling, We heard voices so teeny, "Look, its Dan Cloutier!" The girls think he's so dreamy. As we snickered and giggled And were turning around, Off the Zamboni jumped Santa In a great, graceful bound. A bundle of awards He had flung on his back, And he looked like Gary Bettman Just opening his pack. His eyes how they twinkled, His dimples how snazzy, An Art Ross for Bertuzzi, And the Hart for our Nazzy. His droll little mouth Was drawn up like a bow, There's a Norris too for Jovo, He's a big part of the show. The ends of some sticks, He held tight in his fist. They were gifts for the powerplay, Guaranteed not to miss. He had a broad face And a round little belly, From drinking far too much beer, Watching Pay Per View on the telly. He was chubby and plump, A right jolly old elf, And even Bertuzzi giggled, In spite of himself. A wink of his eye And a twist of his head, Soon gave us to know, The trap we always would dread.
